Gallery

Welcome. Every painting in this gallery began as something I could feel but not yet say — a colour pressure, a tension, an image that kept returning. My work is an attempt to make those things visible.

I paint in acrylic and oil on canvas, working in series rather than in isolation. A single idea might run across ten or fifteen canvases before it is resolved — or before it opens into something I hadn’t anticipated. Each finished work carries that whole history inside it, even if the surface looks immediate.

What I call Energetic Modernism is not a formula. It is a conviction: that a painting should do something to the air around it. Not illustrate, not decorate — but radiate. The works here range from quietly meditative to almost confrontational in their colour. I find that the people who respond most strongly to the confrontational ones are the ones who, eventually, live with them longest.

Original works

Everything in this gallery is an original, painted by hand in my Sydney studio. There are no prints here — only singular objects, each one unique. Some are large enough to anchor a room; others are intimate, made to be discovered in a quieter corner. Size and medium are listed on each product page, along with high-resolution photographs and shipping details.

I ship worldwide. Originals travel framed or unframed depending on destination — contact me before ordering if you have a preference, or if you would like to arrange collection in Sydney.

Commissions

If you have a space in mind and nothing here is quite right, I am open to commissions. We would talk about the room, the light, what you want to feel when you walk past it every morning. I work from that conversation rather than from a brief — which tends to produce something more alive than a specification ever would.

Commissions start from AUD $600 depending on scale and complexity. Lead time is usually six to ten weeks. Use the Commissions page to start the conversation.
