Silent Expanse sets stacked, rounded blocks in crimson, coral red and black against a tall column of warm ochre gold, on a pale ground worked with a palette knife. Fine black fringes edge the red shapes, and dark red stripes run down the base of the coral block. High on the ochre column a pale disc ringed with etched white lines hangs like a moon, and a band of dark navy closes the right side.
